The educational goal of this department is to create first class technical professionals for merchant ships, i.e., mechanical engineers, competent in operation, management and maintenance of machinery, electrical and power systems. The department has passed ISO version 9001/2008 and certification of DNV STCW international conventions that are designed to train students to comprehend turbine technology at a competency level and management level, in line with the provisions of the International Maritime Conventions of Training, Certification and Watch Keeping standard of professional and technical personnel. After passing the Maritime Professional Examination, the mariner will be recognized by IMO.

 

Grasp the Pulse of an Ever-Changing Trend

1.In order to cultivate first-class engineers for a modern merchant ship, students will be instructed to take the mariners examination and grade B boiler operation examination by the Council of Labor Affairs.

2.To cultivate professional practice skills, students will be positively guided and rewarded to get a license.

3.Employment lectures will be provided for students to familiarize themselves with workplace trends.

4.Executives of the industrial circles will be hired as part-time teachers, and experts from related fields will be frequently invited to give lectures.
